Robert Pattinson drew the line at pleasuring a dog for
his new movie Good Time.
The Twilight actor stars as Connie, who is on the run
from the police, in the crime drama, which received a six-minute standing
ovation when it debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in France in May (17).
Connie has an
affinity with dogs and thinks he was a dog in his previous life, and Robert has
now revealed that the directors Ben and Josh Safdie wanted to go one step
further and have Connie pleasuring his pet canine in one scene.
"There's this one scene which we shot, which was
basically, there's a drug dealer who busts into the room and I was sleeping
with the dog and basically giving the dog a hand job," he said on Jimmy
Kimmel Live! on Thursday (03Aug17).
"I asked the trainer, 'cause the director was like,
'Just do it for real, man! Don't be a p**sy!' And then the dog's owner was
like, 'Well, he's a breeder, I mean, you can.' He's like, 'You just gotta
massage the inside of his thighs.'"
However, the 31-year-old refused to do it for real so
they used a fake dog penis for the actor to work with, and after going through
all that trouble, the scene didn't make the final film.
"It was fun. It'll be on the DVD extras,"
Robert teased.
He also spoke about the standing ovation the movie
received and revealed how the cast and crew couldn't actually see the audience
clapping.
"It's weird because you have a spotlight on you and
so after a while you're hearing clapping but you can only see the people
involved in the movie clapping so I was like, 'Are we just the only people
clapping? We might just be continuing this ovation just for ourselves.' Which
may have been the case. We were just unaware of what was happening."
Good Time hits cinemas later this month.
