Terror threats in some parts of Mindanao confirmed by PNP.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa said there is a possibility that the Maute terror group will also wreak havoc in neighbouring areas of Marawi City.
“We assess that all major cities in Mindanao are under threat, under threat of their plans. So it’s difficult to disregard this. We take this information seriously because they have already done this in Marawi, and there’s a possibility they would do it in other areas as well,” he said.
Dela Rosa also said that among the areas being monitored by police are the Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao, Northern Mindanao and SOCCSKSARGEN.
Before the 60-day martial law period ends, Dela Rosa said he will recommend the extension of the military rule.
“We better not take chances. Let’s be sure. This is why we declared martial law, to ensure the safety and security of the entire Mindanao,” added Dela Rosa.
The PNP chief said the vigilance of Mindanao residents in their respective areas is a great help to the military and police.
He also agrees with the assessment of President Rodrigo Duterte that the crisis in Marawi City would end within 15 days.
